Prenatal classes are appropriate for women at any stage of their pregnancy as well as for women hoping to conceive. Each class includes guided breathing, physical postures, dynamic movement, and a guided final relaxation. The practice is designed to prepare you for giving birth. It corrects postural imbalances that can lead to pain and discomfort, calms and soothes the nervous system, and alleviates hormonal imbalances.
As most parents know, finding time to get your practice in can be challenging, if not next to impossible! This class is meant for the whole family to enjoy. Chanting, sun salutations, seated postures, partner poses, inversions and meditation are included.
Appropriate for the beginning as well as the advanced student.
Postnatal / Baby & Me Yoga
Get out of the house and connect with other new parents at Postnatal Yoga! You can come as soon as you feel ready to move and stretch. This class addresses the specific needs of new moms (dads also welcome) including restoring lost energy, regaining strength, and integrating joyful bonding time with new babes.
For those who may be healing from injury or have specific chronic concerns or illness. The session is individualized to address your specific concerns and promote healing.
Private Yoga can be arranged at Shakti Yoga, my private studio or in your home to meet your needs.
